Parents/carers will be able to pick up the next batch of 7 free student Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) for their children attending Berkeley West Public School any time between 9.15am- 2.30pm next Monday 7 February. Do not arrive before 9.15am or after 2.30pm as they will not be available for pick up. There are enough test for all students, so there is no need to rush. Only parents/carers are able to collect RATs. If you can't do this, you should contact the school inform us which adult will collect them on your behalf. Students will not be provided with them to bring home.
If the weather is fine, all RATs can be picked up from the outdoor picnic table area just inside the front Nolan St gate. If the weather is wet, RATs can be collected from the school hall. You must wear a mask when entering the school, keep your distance from other parents, and leave immediately after collecting your RATS.
Parents have already been provided with a supply of two tests per child/per week (advised to before coming to school on Mon & Wed each week). If you have been using the tests already distributed, your supply will run out next Wednesday 9 February.
When you arrive at school next Monday 7 February (9.15am- 2.30pm), you will be give 7 more RATs per child to be administered twice a week (Mon & Wed advised). This will mean you have enough tests to last your child a further three and a half weeks (i.e. up to and including Monday 7 March).
Administering RATs is not compulsory and is your choice. If you do not intend to pick up RATs for your child, or cannot make it in on Monday 7 Feb, please contact us on 4271 1478 during school hours.
